Scope

Two methods are described, one for the determination of olefinic plus aromatic hydrocarbons chemically and the other for the determination of olefin content by calculation in petroleum distillates. Substracting the value of olefin content from the combined value of olefins and aromatics, the aromatic content in petroleum distillates may also be calculated.
