1.1 This standard lays down the procedure for collection and preparation of samples from a lot of rock phosphate in order to determine the size dis-tribution, moisture content and chemical composition of the mineral in the lot. Sampling of rock phosphate from conveyor belt, trucks, wagons and also from stock piles have been described. This standard is primarily inten-ded for manual sampling.
1.2 This standard also prescribes a method for reporting the quality of the lot sampled.
