1.1 This standard (Part V ) covers reliability requirements when these are expressed as a success ratio.
1.2 The test plans given in this standard are applicable to reusable as well as non-reusable (one-shot) devices. Reusable devices may be repaired between successive trials, provided that the state and perfor-mance are the same at the start of all trials. For non-reusable devices, one test item is used for each trial.
Note — These plans are based on the assumption that each trial is statistically independent.
