Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 3) describes a basic set of elements to provide guidance for developing and implementing a sound quality management system. 1.2 The selection of appropriate elements contained in this standard and the extent to which these elements are adopted and applied by a company depends upon factors, such as, size of company, market being served, nature of product, production processes and customer needs.
