Scope

1.1This standard specifies requirements for sterile syringes for single use primarily for the injection of insulins in humans. 1.2 Sterile syringes for hypydermic injection specified in this standard are intended for use immediately after filling and are not intended for containing injectable fluids or samples of insulin over extended periods of time.
