Scope

This standard ( Part III) lays down the method for the determination of the relation between the moisture content and the dry density of a stabilized soil mixture. In this test a 2·6 kg rammer falling through a height of 310 mm (light compaction ) or a 4·89 rammer falling through a height of 450 mm ( heavy compaction) is used.
