Scope

1.1 This standard lays down general guidelines for lining irrigation canals with 10 to 15 cm thick soil cement lining. 1.2 The use of soil cement lining for irrigation canals shall be restricted to small and medium size irrigation canals with capacities up to 10 cumecs and in which the velocity of water does not exceed 1 m/s.
