Scope

This standard ( Part VI) lays down the method of test for obtaining data from which the shrinkage factors, namely shrinkage limit ( remoulded soil), shrinkage limit ( undisturbed soil), shrinkage ratio, shrinkage index and volumetric shrinkage of soils may be calculated.
