Scope

Covers the design and genera! requirements of a multipurpose mercury barometer for use in educational institutions. One can easily produce vacuum above the mercury surface without the aid of any other instrument/equipment. The instrument may also be used as a manometer and for the study of Boyle's law from 0.7 to 1.3 atmosphere.
