Scope

Bl This standard establishes the "SUPERCHARCE" method for determining the octane number to establish the power limited by detonation, under overload conditions, in rich mixtures, with different fuels or for use on spark-ignition aviation engines. Given the operational characteristics, this method is applicable only for testing fuels with an octane number "SUPERGCARGE" greater than 85.
