Bl This standard establishes a method to determine the content of active matter in synthetic ergents of the alkyl sulfate or alkyl aryl sulfonate type, using p-toluidine hydrochloride. Note 1; This method can also be applied to determine the content of active matter in other organic sulfates or sulfonates, when the molecular weight of the compound is known. If this is unknown, it can be expressed in organically combined sulfuric anhydride, in percent. B-2 In all cases of discrepancy, or when greater accuracy is necessary, the method indicated in the IRAM 25 579 standard must be used.
