The requirements of this standard will apply to steam generators in which the overpressure is between 0.5 kg/cm2 and 15.0 kg/cm2; They will not apply to small steam generators whose heating surface is less than 5 m2 AND whose working pressure does not exceed 2.5 kg/cm2.
