Scope

The standard describes a test method for determining the acidity, expressed as the acid content (as a mass fraction of acetic acid in percent)or as the acid value, of solvents and material mixtures. The methods are applicable to alcohols, ketones, ethers, esters, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and mixtures prepared from these chemicals having an lower acid content up to 0,1%, resp. an acid value less than 0,001 mg KOH/g.#,,#
