Scope
This specification establishes requirements for steel forgings of any shape or form from which finished parts are to be made. Forgings are typically intended to be manufactured from consumable-electrode-vacuum-remelted steel for use in those high- performance parts where control of short-transverse tensile properties or fracture toughness is important.
