Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of nitrate nitrogen content in fertilizers by nitrogen reagent gravimetric method. This standard applies to all kinds of fertilizers. Note: When an excess of chloride 9 times the nitrogen content is present, the result will be 0.4% higher.
