Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of the pH value of the aqueous extract of textiles. Note: The pH value of the water extract of the textile sample measured by this method cannot be used as a quantitative assessment of the acidity and alkalinity of the textile, especially when the pH value is greater than 11 or less than 3. This standard applies to textiles in any form (fibers, yarns, fabrics, etc.).
