Scope

This standard specifies a method for electrochemically evaluating contact corrosion between dissimilar metals (also called galvanic corrosion) in a solution simulating the internal body environment (simulated body fluid). However, this standard specifies the contact corrosion test method between dissimilar metals, which is necessary when selecting materials for the test piece level.
