- Scope
- This standard specifies a filtering method. This standard applies to surfaces formed by compound machining, which are the synthesis of deep valleys left by rough machining and smooth surfaces formed by finishing. For this type of surface, the reference line obtained by using the filter specified in GB/T 18777--2002 (IS0 11562) will be adversely affected by deep valleys. The filtering method described in this standard suppresses the effect of deep valleys, resulting in a more suitable baseline.
