- This standard applies to the determination of the friction coefficient of wheelchair test surfaces. It specifies a test method to determine the friction coefficient of rough test surfaces such as unpolished concrete. If this method is used to test a smooth surface, care should be taken so that the friction coefficient measured over the entire area of the test surface is constant.
