- This standard specifies two methods for determining the density of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber (hereinafter referred to as rubber). This measurement is very important for the quality management of rubber compounds and the calculation of the rubber quality required to produce a given volume of vulcanization. This standard is measured by observing gravity under different conditions, but for convenience, gravity is expressed in mass units. This standard does not apply to the same volume at a specific temperature
