Scope

This standard is applicable to the test method for the bending strength and stiffness of straight bone plates. It can also be used to test bone plates that have some small curvature in order to achieve preload (per-load), or that are attached to the outside of angular bone plates. However, this test method is not recommended for bone plates with a length shorter than 50mm or extraosseous bone plates equipped with internal fixators.
