- Scope
- This standard specifies the requirements for valve protective caps and protective sleeves used on industrial and medical gas cylinders. This standard defines tests used to check the mechanical strength and physical properties of valve protective caps or valve protective sleeves. This standard applies to valve protection devices for cylinders storing liquid, dissolved or compressed gases. This standard does not regulate cylinders with a water volume of less than 5L, cylinders for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and cylinders with flange welding or welding.
