Scope

This standard specifies the consistency terms and symbols for flame retardants added to plastic materials. The symbol system is written with the abbreviation "FR" and is followed by one or more codes shown in Section 5. This symbol is attached to the symbol of plastic materials to provide identification of plastic materials and to provide identification and labeling of plastic products.
