- Scope
- This standard specifies two methods to obtain solutions of ceramic (including glass) degradation products for quantitative analysis. This standard also sets out guidelines for solution analysis to identify degradation products. Because of the general nature of this standard, priority should be given to products that more closely match specific standards for degradation product formation under actual conditions of use when available. This standard only considers the chemical dissociation of ceramics during in vitro testing.
