- This standard specifies a method for separating fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) from medium petroleum fractions by liquid chromatography (LC) and determining its composition by gas chromatography (GC). This standard applies to FAME derived from vegetable or animal fats and oils, with carbon numbers between (14 and 24).
