- Scope
- 1.1 This standard specifies the use of infrared spectroscopy to determine the content of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in diesel or household heating fuel. Its concentration range is approximately (1.7~22.7)% (v/v). In principle, FAME content beyond the above concentration range can also be measured using this standard, but there is currently no precision data beyond the above concentration range. 1.2 This method has been verified to be applicable to samples containing FAM that meets the national standards for biodiesel.
