- This standard specifies a method for determining the content of total fatty acid methyl esters and linolenic acid methyl ester in oil derivatives. This oil derivative may be used as biomass energy alone, or blended into diesel or other heating fuels. This standard is suitable for the determination of C14 to C24 fatty acid methyl esters, the total fatty acid methyl ester content must be higher than 90% (m/m), and the linolenic acid methyl ester content must be between (1 to 15)% (m/m) between.
