Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the carbonyl value of essential oils. This method can be used when using CNS 6679 [Essential Oils - Carbonyl Number Determination (Hydroxyammonium Chloride Potentiometric Method)] to determine essential oils containing carbonyl compounds that are difficult to form (especially ketones, excluding methyl ketones).
