Scope

This specification is applicable to the construction of new construction, expansion and reconstruction of industrial equipment and pipeline insulation projects with an external surface temperature of -196 to +850 °C. This specification does not apply to the inner insulation lining of equipment and pipelines and equipment and pipelines with special requirements (nuclear energy radiation installations, aviation industry, aerospace industry, etc.), as well as the construction of thermal insulation projects for buried long-distance pipelines and temporary facilities. The construction of industrial equipment and pipeline insulation works shall be carried out in accordance with the design documents and the provisions of this code. When it is necessary to modify the design, substitute materials or adopt new materials, it must be agreed by the original design unit. The construction of the thermal insulation project shall not only implement the provisions of this code, but also comply with the current relevant national standards and regulations.
