Scope
This part of GB/T 20624 specifies the resistance of dry coatings of paints, varnishes or related products to cracking from the substrate when deformed by the impact of a falling weight (spherical punch with a diameter of 20 mm) under standard conditions. or peeling ability test method. Note: The term "impact resistance" is included in the title of this standard, but an important feature of the instrument used is that it will cause rapid deformation rather than a true impact. This section is applicable - as a pass or fail test, which determines whether a coating complies with the requirements of a specified specification by dropping a weight of specified mass from a certain height - as a classification test, by gradually increasing the height of the drop and/or or weight mass to determine the minimum weight mass and/or drop height at which the instrument coating will crack or peel off the substrate.
