- This standard specifies the static load test procedures for general purpose spherical bearings. This standard applies to radial spherical plain bearings, angular contact spherical plain bearings, thrust spherical plain bearings and rod end spherical plain bearings. For spherical bearings with special requirements, such as special materials, special sliding contact surfaces, special clearances, etc., this test procedure can be used as a reference.
