Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of food additive ferrous lactate. This standard applies to ferrous lactate trihydrate products produced by the reaction of calcium lactate, sodium lactate or ammonium lactate with ferrous sulfate or ferrous chloride or the reaction of lactic acid with iron powder.
