- This standard specifies the test equipment, test procedures and reporting requirements for the mechanical life of thermal bimetal dish-shaped components (hereinafter referred to as components). This standard is applicable to the determination of the mechanical life of thermal bimetallic disc elements operating under indirect heating, direct heating and mixed heating conditions, and also applies to the mechanical life of thermal bimetallic disc elements operating under other conditions.
