- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging and storage of pressure gauge contact devices. This standard applies to direct-acting and magnetic-assisted contact devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) that are matched with pressure gauges and use pressure signals to control the on-and-off electrical signals. This standard does not apply to photoelectric and inductive contact devices.
