- 1.1 This standard specifies the method for measuring the shear stability of polymer-containing oil. The European diesel nozzle tester is used to measure the kinematic viscosity loss of polymer-containing oil at 100°C. Viscosity loss reflects the degree of polymer degradation under nozzle shear. 1.2 This standard covers certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but is not intended to make recommendations on all safety issues related thereto. Therefore, users should establish appropriate safety and protective measures and determine an applicable management system before using this standard.
