Scope: This standard specifies the classification, shape and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of fired aluminum silicon carbide bricks. This standard applies to fired aluminum silicon carbide bricks used in blast furnace bodies, iron mixing furnaces, iron mixing cars, hot metal tanks (packs), blast furnace tap troughs and building materials kilns.
