- Scope
- This standard applies to line post type porcelain insulators for AC overhead lines with a rated voltage higher than 1000 V and a frequency not higher than 100 Hz. This standard applies to vertical or horizontal top strapping line post insulators (Fig. 1), and also to top clip type line post insulators for vertical installation (Fig. 4) and horizontal mounting (Fig. 5). This standard applies to line post insulators with standard creepage distances for overhead lines in clean or moderately polluted areas and line post insulators with longer creepage distances for overhead lines in polluted areas.
