- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic requirements and additional requirements, identification and information provided for safety shoes. This standard applies to safety shoes that protect the wearer's feet and legs from hazards in the work area. This standard does not apply to safety shoes without insoles and insoles or without insoles but with removable insoles.
