- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic and additional requirements, identification and information provided for occupational footwear. This standard applies to occupational footwear that protects the wearer's feet and legs from hazards in the work area. This standard does not apply to occupational shoes without insoles and insoles or without insoles but with removable insoles.
