Scope

This standard mainly specifies the torsional vibration-non-resonant method for measuring each component of the complex shear modulus G of a solid polymer strip or cylinder in the frequency range of 0.001 to 100 Hz. Although measurements at higher frequencies are possible, this may lead to significant errors in dynamic property measurements (see 10.2.1 and 10.2.2).
