Scope

This specification specifies the general requirements for military activated carbon (hereinafter referred to as activated carbon) and military impregnated activated carbon (hereinafter referred to as impregnated carbon). This specification applies to activated carbon and impregnated carbon used in equipment such as gas mask canisters and filter absorbers.
