Scope

This part of GB/T 8654 specifies the determination of iron content in metal manganese, manganese-silicon alloy, ferromanganese and ferromanganese nitride by o-phenanthroline spectrophotometry and titanium trichloride-potassium dichromate titration. This section applies to the determination of iron content in manganese metal, manganese-silicon alloy, ferromanganese and ferromanganese nitride. Among them, the o-phenanthroline spectrophotometric method is suitable for the determination of iron content in metal manganese, and the measurement range (mass fraction): 0.001% to 1.00%; the titanium trichloride-potassium dichromate titration method is suitable for metal manganese, manganese silicon Determination of iron content in alloys, ferromanganese and ferromanganese nitride, measurement range (mass fraction): 1.00% to 35.00%.
