Scope

This guideline provides suggested proceduresfor the inspection of cobalt-60 and cesium-137teletherapy equipment which may identify andquantify malfunctions or maladjustments ofthe safety and radiation defining components.This guideline is a companion document toANSI N449-1974 [i] ,l which specifies testsand suggested frequencies for the inspectionand maintenance of teletherapy equipment.
