- Scope
- This standard specifies the definition, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, and instructions for use of small-power sealed water pumps. This standard applies to vertical and horizontal single-stage centrifugal water pumps (whole or unit) composed of a small-power motor and a pump house that are fully sealed (sealed with epoxy resin or similar materials) for aquariums, garden fountains, aquaculture and similar purposes. (Hereinafter referred to as "sealed pump" or "pump"). This standard applies to sealed pumps: power supply is AC or DC, AC is single-phase, rated voltage ≤ 250V, frequency 50Hz; DC rated voltage ≤ square root 2 × 250V, head ≤ 15m, power ≤ 1500W (power is limited to small power sealed pumps within the motor range).
