- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of the food additive γ-nonalactone (also known as "coconut aldehyde"). This standard is applicable to the analysis and evaluation of the quality of γ-nonalactone prepared through chemical synthesis using methyl acrylate or acrylic acid and n-hexanol as raw materials.
