- Scope
- This standard specifies the basic principles, measurement and calculation methods for measuring the relative permeability of two-phase fluids in rocks, and the technical specifications of measuring instruments. This standard is applicable to the determination of the relative permeability of two-phase fluids in cemented sandstone rock samples. Other types of rock samples can be implemented with reference. This standard includes two methods for determining relative permeability, steady-state and unsteady-state. The steady-state method of oil-water relative permeability measurement is suitable for rock samples with air permeability greater than 50mD. The steady-state method of gas-water relative permeability measurement is suitable for rock samples with air permeability ranging from 0.5mD to 1000mD. The unsteady-state method The determination of oil-water and gas-water relative permeability is suitable for rock samples with air permeability greater than 5mD. The unsteady-state gas-water relative permeability determination is suitable for rock samples with air permeability greater than 0.01mD.
