This standard specifies the test methods and requirements for the qualification of water tree resistance of medium-voltage cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables with rated voltages of 6kV to 35kV that comply with the requirements of GB/T 12706.2 and GB/T 12706.3. This standard only applies to the evaluation of the water tree resistance performance of the cable core material of cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables, while other properties are subject to relevant product standards.
