This standard specifies the principle of the standard particle generation device used for testing and the performance test method of the dust particle counter. This standard applies to dust particle counters that use the principle of light scattering to measure the size and number of suspended particles in the sampled air with a particle size of 0.1 μm to 10.0 μm. This type of dust particle counter is mainly used for cleanliness testing of clean rooms and performance testing of air filters and filter materials.
