Scope
This standard requires that the manufacturer of the original equipment or a third party certified by the manufacturer declare that the original equipment manufacturer or a third party certified by the manufacturer declares that the office equipment products that use reused parts perform the same as products that use only new parts. These are guidelines that specify the “requirements that must be met” when This standard also requires that these products, even at the component level, meet the same specifications and performance standards as new components and comply with all safety and environmental standards required of products manufactured under responsible management systems. It is also used to declare that the supplier continues to comply with the requirements. Therefore, this standard does not directly guarantee the quality and performance of equipment that uses reused parts. Furthermore, this standard relates to manufacturing processes that involve the reuse of parts and office equipment manufactured using the Licapari process (recycling process), and Annex C shows the relationship between reuse and other recycling processes. Consumables such as toner cartridges that can be replaced by the user are not covered. Additionally, this standard does not apply to equipment that does not meet the original design performance specifications, even if the equipment has been remanufactured by the original equipment manufacturer or a third party authorized by the manufacturer. This International Standard applies in the following cases:
