Scope
This part specifies the five types of opening sizes (minimum functional size of the opening, see reference [2]) of the whole body entry mechanism (see 3.1 of GB/T 15706.1-1995), and the anthropometric data (human body size) and additional space (Margin) combined with 11 formulas to calculate opening size. Access dimensions are based on the 95th or 99th percentile value of the intended user population, the latter being appropriate for emergency egress access. The human body size in GB/T 18717.3-2002 is measured from a static naked person, and does not consider human body movements, clothing, equipment, operating mechanical conditions or environmental conditions. This section applies to non-mobile machinery, and there may be additional special requirements for mobile machinery.
